Ebola You’re Not Welcome Around Here…

How can you not know about the “Ebola” outbreak that has everyone over reacting like the world hasn’t already dealt with virus outbreaks. First there was swine flu, then there was bird flu and now you can’t even cough on a train without glares as if you’re contaminated with this deadly  virus…that as proven can be cured by the way.

But for those that do not know the “Ebola virus disease is a serious, usually fatal, disease for which there are no licensed treatments or vaccines. But for people living in countries outside Africa, it continues to be a very low threat”.- NHS Choices

News alert!!! Australia are not taking any chances with the virus and anyone that has visited any of the Ebola-affected countries in West Africa are not welcome  down under. This draconian move has made the people of Sierra Leone angry and I’m not surprised as I’m pretty sure the Australian government would not dare think to do such thing to any of its fellow developed countries.

Sierra Leone has condemned Australia’s decision to suspend entry visas for people from Ebola-affected countries in West Africa as “counterproductive” and “discriminatory”. – BBC

_78591147_78591146Harsh is too nice of a word to use if you’ve been put in a situation where you can not re-enter your own country because you’ve been banned. I honestly think the Australian government are acting like drama queens as I’m pretty sure everybody knows the symptoms of Ebola, it’s literally everywhere you turn in the media.

What I don’t understand is If “permanent visa holders yet to arrive in Australia must undergo a 21-day quarantine process before departure”. Then why can’t those with temporary visas?

It just doesn’t make any sense.

Think about the aid workers and doctors that are risking their lives and  saving others…just think.
